Overview
On May 29, 2024, PayPal announced that PYUSD was live on the Solana blockchain, its second chain after the original August 2023 Ethereum launch. The announcement was made at Consensus 2024, with PayPal citing Solana's faster and cheaper transactions as the reason for the expansion.
