Solana Actions & Blinks feature
Overview
Blockchain links, or "blinks," are a Solana feature announced by the Solana Foundation on 25 June 2024 together with Solana Actions, developed in collaboration with Dialect. Solana Actions are APIs that return signable transactions, and a blink is the interface layer that turns such an Action into a shareable link which unfurls into an interactive widget inside websites, social feeds and messaging apps. This lets a user buy an NFT, tip a creator, vote, stake or swap directly from a post rather than being redirected to a separate dApp. Following the launch, hundreds of developers began building blinks and more than a dozen wallets added blink support to their browser extensions and mobile apps.
