Overview
Vertex Edge is a cross-chain settlement layer developed by the Vertex Protocol team. It was designed to let orders placed on one blockchain settle on another without requiring users to bridge tokens or leave their native chain, using a shared sequencer and a hub chain to coordinate state across connected networks. As of 2026-07-16: Vertex Protocol wound down its EVM deployments (including Arbitrum) in July 2025, phased out its VRTX token, and rebuilt its DEX on Ink, the Kraken-incubated Layer 2, after Ink Foundation acquired its order book and perps engine.
