SEC charges Florida man and company in alleged $22 million crypto mining fraud scheme
The SEC charged Florida resident Zan Shaikh and his company Mining Automatic (Bright Vision Distribution LLC) with defrauding more than 380 investors of about $22 million in a crypto mining scheme promising guaranteed monthly returns. Only about 13% of funds went to mining costs; the defendants consented to partial judgments in Massachusetts federal court.
