Aztec v5 brings private smart contracts to Ethereum in alpha launch

Aztec Network launched its V5 alpha on Ethereum mainnet, adding a full private execution environment so developers can write hybrid contracts mixing public and encrypted state. Aztec said V5 proves a fully private transaction in about 2.5 seconds on a laptop, cuts fees to under $0.05 and shortens block times from 14 seconds to six.
