Jack Mallers steps down as XXI Capital CEO as Tether's plans to merge three bitcoin firms falls

Jack Mallers stepped down as CEO of Tether-controlled Twenty One Capital (XXI) on July 20 to focus on his bitcoin payments firm Strike, which will no longer be part of a proposed three-way merger. Raphael Zagury was named as the new CEO. Tether's April plan to combine XXI, Strike, and Elektron has been dropped.
