Israel Withdraws Troops From Parts of Lebanon in Test of Truce
Under a US-mediated framework signed on 26 June, the Lebanese army began taking over security in three southern villages - Zawtar al-Gharbiyeh, Froun and Srifa - as Israeli forces pull back. Implementation is patchy: a security source said troops had not deployed to Zawtar because Israel had not withdrawn there.
