ECB to extend TARGET hours enabling Pontes, 24/7 DLT settlement
Following a consultation that received 125 responses, the European Central Bank announced plans to extend aspects of its TARGET settlement infrastructure, including enabling Pontes and 24/7 DLT settlement. However, the real-time gross settlement (RTGS) system itself will not gain additional hours in the short term.
