Russia's State Duma passed a bill legalizing cryptocurrency investment and trading, with 340 lawmakers voting in favor. Trading will occur only on licensed exchanges with a minimum capital of 15 million roubles. The bill bans crypto payments domestically, allows investment with limits for non-qualified investors, and takes effect September 1, 2026.
