Pakistan steps up crypto enforcement with dedicated federal unit
Pakistan's FIA created a dedicated unit to investigate crypto-related cybercrime and financial fraud. FIA Counter-Terrorism Wing Director Muhammad Athar Waheed recommended other agencies establish similar units. PVARA Chair Bilal Bin Saqib said in December 2025 that Pakistan was the world's third-largest crypto market by retail activity.
