Czech central bank chief warns against joining Eurozone too early
Czech National Bank Governor Ales Michl warned against adopting the euro too early, saying the economy is not sufficiently aligned with the eurozone and that losing the koruna's flexible exchange rate could fuel inflation. He also rebuffed Prime Minister Andrej Babis's calls for lower rates after the CNB raised its two-week repo rate 25bp to 3.75% in June, its first hike in four years.
