What is AI × crypto?
AI crypto, also called decentralized AI or the AI×crypto stack, is the set of blockchain protocols that decentralize one or more layers of artificial intelligence. Bittensor (TAO) deep dive
Bittensor is a decentralized machine-intelligence network that uses a Substrate-based chain to coordinate AI miners and validators across specialized subnets. Training a frontier model decentralized is much harder than renting GPUs — it requires coordination, gradient streaming, and incentive design. Several teams have raised serious money to attack the problem.
