Overview
Centrifuge pools are the on-chain investment vehicles issued through Centrifuge, a real-world asset (RWA) tokenization protocol. Each pool is set up by an asset originator to finance a specific pool of off-chain assets - such as private credit loan books, receivables, or short-term Treasury exposure - and investors subscribe to tokenized tranches representing claims on that collateral. Centrifuge originally operated as a Polkadot parachain and moved to a multichain, EVM-native architecture with its V3 release, which uses a hub-and-spoke design so a pool keeps accounting and NAV on one chain while issuing share tokens on others.
