Overview
B² Network (BSquared) is a Bitcoin extension network — a Bitcoin layer-2 stack aiming to make BTC productive rather than idle. Its architecture has two layers: the B² Rollup, an EVM-compatible layer 2 secured by zero-knowledge proofs and Taproot, offering fast, low-cost execution; and B² Hub, described as Bitcoin layer 1.5, providing modular Application Sharding and a consensus mechanism called Proof of Signal (PoSg). On top of that infrastructure it runs several products: Mining Squared, a Bitcoin mining platform reporting more than 5,000 BTC and 580,000 users; AI Signal, infrastructure for AI agent transactions on Bitcoin; and U2, a USD-pegged stablecoin collateralised by Bitcoin. As shown on bsquared.network in July 2026, the network reported 10.85 million addresses and $732 million TVL. The B2 token can be staked on both B² Network and BNB Chain, with the site advertising over 151% APY, no fees, no lock period and a one-day unstaking cooldown — figures that imply heavy emissions rather than organic fee revenue. The project's disclosed backers include HashKey, OKX Ventures, Spartan Capital and Animoca Brands. B² Network built out from a ZK- and Taproot-secured Bitcoin rollup into a two-layer stack with B² Hub as a modular 'layer 1.5', then layered consumer products on top: Mining Squared for BTC mining, AI Signal for agent transactions, and the Bitcoin-collateralised U2 stablecoin.
