Blockdaemon is an institutional-grade blockchain infrastructure company whose staking business provides node operation and staking services across more than 50 blockchains, positioning itself as the institutional backbone for staking and node-based yield. Its staking and node business scaled rapidly through venture funding: a $155 million Series B led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 (with Matrix Capital Management, Sapphire Ventures and Morgan Creek Digital) valued it at $1.255 billion, followed by a $207 million Series C led by Sapphire Ventures and Tiger Global at a $3.25 billion post-money valuation. Over roughly a one-year period the company reported a 70x increase in valuation, 20x revenue growth and 5x headcount growth. It has grown partly by acquisition — onboarding Lunie, a proof-of-stake staking and governance platform, Anyblock Analytics and Gem, a crypto API company with fiat on-ramp and trade data aggregation — and invested in StakeWise to build institutional Ethereum liquid staking. In 2025 it launched Earn Stack, a packaged offering letting institutions provide compliant staking and DeFi products to their own customers. Blockdaemon raised a $155 million Series B at a $1.255 billion valuation, then a $207 million Series C at $3.25 billion post-money led by Sapphire Ventures and Tiger Global. It acquired Lunie, Anyblock Analytics and Gem, invested in StakeWise for institutional Ethereum liquid staking, and launched Earn Stack in 2025 for institutional staking and DeFi distribution.
