SHRAPNEL is a first-person extraction shooter developed by studio Neon Machine, built in Unreal Engine and released into early access on the Epic Games Store in February 2024. It combines competitive extraction gameplay with modding tools and a player marketplace, and its economy and publishing services run on a custom Avalanche subnet, allowing player-created items to be minted as NFTs. Early access initially shipped without requiring players to connect wallets or buy NFTs, with blockchain features introduced progressively.
