Sygnum is a Swiss-Singaporean digital asset banking group. Its regulated Swiss entity, Sygnum Bank AG, became the world's first bank to receive a FINMA banking and securities dealer licence built around digital assets, in August 2019. The group is regulated across multiple jurisdictions: a banking licence in Switzerland, an EU MiCAR licence in Liechtenstein, Capital Markets Services and Major Payment Institution licences in Singapore, and regulated presence in Abu Dhabi and Luxembourg. The group reached operational profitability in financial year 2024 with 2,000 institutional clients across 70+ countries, recorded net new money above $1 billion for the first time in 2025, and by end-FY2025 served 2,300 clients in over 80 countries with roughly $6 billion in client assets. Sygnum Bank received the world's first digital-asset-focused FINMA banking and securities dealer licence in August 2019. It reached operational profitability in FY2024, raised $58 million in January 2025 at a $1 billion+ valuation led by Fulgur Ventures to become a unicorn, and grew to 2,300 clients and about $6 billion in client assets by end-FY2025.
