Overview
The Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund (FOBXX) is a Franklin Templeton money market mutual fund incepted in 2021 whose shares are recorded on public blockchains via the firm's Benji platform, with one BENJI token equal to one fund share. The fund's transfer agent maintains the official share register through Benji, making FOBXX the first and only US-registered mutual fund to use a public blockchain as its system of record. Its portfolio is required to hold at least 99.5% of total assets in US Treasury securities, cash equivalents and fully collateralized Treasury repurchase agreements. Benji's supported networks include Ethereum, Solana, Base, Stellar, Polygon, Arbitrum, Avalanche and Aptos.
