Overview

The Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund (FOBXX) is a Franklin Templeton money market mutual fund, launched in 2021, that was the first US-registered mutual fund to use a public blockchain as its system of record for processing transactions and recording share ownership. Share ownership is represented by BENJI tokens on a 1:1 basis, maintained by the fund's transfer agent through Franklin Templeton's Benji platform. The fund invests at least 99.5% of total assets in US Treasury securities, cash, and repurchase agreements fully collateralized by US Treasuries or cash. Benji has expanded across multiple public blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, Base, Stellar, Polygon, Arbitrum, Avalanche and Aptos.
