Overview
Hack VC is an early-stage crypto and web3 venture firm led by Alex Pack and Ed Roman. It launched a $200 million crypto seed fund in February 2022, backed by Sequoia Capital, Fidelity, and a16z's Marc Andreessen and Chris Dixon. It followed that with an oversubscribed $150 million Venture Fund I focused on early-stage web3 and AI opportunities, bringing aggregate commitments across the first two funds to $350 million and total assets under management to roughly $425 million. Documents later showed the firm had raised $77 million toward an oversubscribed third blockchain fund against an initial $80 million goal.
