Mountain Protocol fund
Overview
Mountain Protocol is the issuer of USDM, an ERC-20 yield-bearing stablecoin that passes through returns from short-term US Treasuries to holders. The company is licensed and regulated by the Bermuda Monetary Authority as a digital asset issuer (licence #202302512), and marketed USDM as the first nationally regulated yield-bearing stablecoin at launch. USDM is a rebasing token: each day at 14:00 UTC every holder's balance increases by the accrued daily yield, and reserves are held in bankruptcy-remote accounts separate from the company's operating funds. USDM is aimed at non-US users and is composable across DeFi protocols; Mountain Protocol later raised $8 million in a Series A round.
