Maple Syrup Pool product
Overview
The Syrup pool is Maple Finance's permissionless lending product, through which depositors supply stablecoins and receive yield-bearing tokens — syrupUSDC and syrupUSDT — representing a share of Maple's institutional overcollateralised lending book. Unlike Maple's KYC-gated institutional pools, Syrup is open to any wallet, with redemptions subject to a withdrawal queue or exit via secondary liquidity. Yield comes from interest paid by institutional borrowers. syrupUSDC and syrupUSDT expanded beyond Ethereum during 2025 to chains including Solana, Arbitrum, Base and Plasma.
