Puffer Unifi AVS protocol
Overview
UniFi AVS is an actively validated service built on EigenLayer by Puffer Finance, the liquid restaking protocol, announced in September 2024. It provides economically secured preconfirmations for Ethereum rollups: Ethereum validators opt in through EigenLayer, register gateways, and are then able to issue fast inclusion promises backed by restaked collateral that can be slashed if broken. Puffer positions it as a way for existing rollups and based rollups to give users very low-latency confirmations while remaining aligned with Ethereum validator security, and the work has received support from EigenCloud.
