Overview

UniswapX is Uniswap Labs' auction-based, intent-centric trading protocol, introduced as an opt-in beta in July 2023. Rather than routing swaps directly through pools, users sign orders describing the trade they want, and competing fillers — market makers, arbitrageurs and other traders — execute them through a Dutch auction whose price decays until a filler accepts, drawing on both on-chain and off-chain liquidity. The design aims to improve execution prices and reduce swappers' exposure to MEV.
