Overview
ElizaOS is an open-source framework for building and orchestrating AI agents, describing itself as an agentic operating system. Its architecture includes a unified message bus that handles events from interfaces such as Discord, Telegram, X, HTTP and onchain sources, composable agent swarms that can delegate and load-balance between agents, action chaining for multi-step LLM-driven workflows, and a plugin system covering model providers, vector stores and custom actions. The project has a large open-source contributor base and hundreds of plugins. Its token was created as AI16Z on Solana and later rebranded and migrated to ELIZAOS.
