Why a separate token vs direct EigenLayer position

Direct EigenLayer restaking requires running validators (operationally complex), choosing AVS delegations (expertise-heavy), and managing withdrawal queues (illiquid). An LRT abstracts this: the issuer runs the operator infrastructure and selects AVSs; the user holds a tradeable claim. The major LRT issuers

ether.fi (eETH / weETH)
