Overview
Zodia Custody is an institution-focused digital asset custodian founded in late 2020 by SC Ventures, Standard Chartered's innovation arm, together with Northern Trust, with SBI Holdings later joining as an investor. It provides regulated, bank-grade custody of cryptocurrencies and other digital assets for institutional clients, and has added services such as Zodia Switch for in-custody asset swaps and support for regulated stablecoins. Standard Chartered agreed to acquire Zodia Custody's custody business and fold it into the bank's Financing and Securities Services digital asset custody unit, with the platform technology business separated into a new entity, Zodia Solutions, under SC Ventures.
