SolvBTC protocol
Overview
SolvBTC is the flagship Bitcoin reserve token of Solv Protocol, a platform building what it calls an on-chain Bitcoin reserve to make BTC productive in DeFi. SolvBTC is a universal Bitcoin reserve token backed one-to-one by BTC or a verified wrapped Bitcoin asset, with a fully transparent proof-of-reserves system so holders can verify the backing of every token. It lets Bitcoin holders access DeFi without surrendering control of their underlying BTC. On top of the base token sits a family of SolvBTC.LSTs — yield-bearing liquid staking derivatives representing staked SolvBTC — which unlock the liquidity of staked positions so they can be used across DeFi protocols like any other token, coordinated through Solv's Staking Abstraction Layer (SAL). Solv reports over 597,000 users and a Bitcoin reserve exceeding 25,000 BTC. SOLV is the protocol's native token. Solv Protocol built SolvBTC as a 1:1 backed universal Bitcoin reserve token with public proof of reserves, then layered liquid-staked variants (SolvBTC.LSTs) on top via its Staking Abstraction Layer, growing to over 597,000 users and a reserve of more than 25,000 BTC.
