Frax (FRAX) is the unified ecosystem token of Frax Finance, serving as the governance, gas, and staking asset of the Fraxtal network. In the December 2025 rebrand (finalized with the Fraxtal "North Star" hard fork in early 2026), the former governance token Frax Share (FXS) was renamed FRAX and converted 1:1, while Frax's US-dollar stablecoin was renamed frxUSD.
