Evmos chain
Overview
Evmos is a sovereign layer-1 blockchain that brings a full Ethereum Virtual Machine to the Cosmos ecosystem. Built with the Cosmos SDK and CometBFT consensus, it runs its own proof-of-stake validator set and governance while letting developers deploy Solidity smart contracts with standard Ethereum tooling. Because it integrates the Inter-Blockchain Communication protocol, Evmos applications can move assets and messages to and from other Cosmos chains. The native EVMOS token is used for staking and fees, and the codebase became the flagship implementation of evmOS, a stack for building EVM-compatible Cosmos chains.
