Upshift protocol
Overview
Upshift is a DeFi vault marketplace built by August Digital that lets curators design and launch yield-bearing vaults across many chains using DeFi and CeFi strategies, governed by an onchain policy engine. Depositors gain exposure to professionally managed strategies without executing them manually, and the vaults are non-custodial: curators can direct strategies but cannot withdraw user funds. Upshift vaults connect to August's prime brokerage services, including margin lending against vault positions and institutional LP distribution. Kraken Institutional has used Upshift to build vaults that earn yield on idle bitcoin, ether and stablecoins.
Within the DeFi Intel graph, Upshift connects to 12 tracked entities, most strongly to Ethereum, Base, Avalanche.
